Steel, Lucky, Zeus and Florida need forever homes [NJ Pets of the Week]

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Steel

Steel is a playful male kitten. While we don'™t know his genealogy, he certainly has the regal looks of a Russian Blue, with his luxurious grey fur coat. He will keep you entertained with his kitten antics until he grows tired and cuddles up and falls asleep in your lap. Steel is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He's currently at our PetSmart partner location on Rt. 27 in Edison.

Adopt Lucky

Here’s handsome Lucky, a young American Staffordshire terrier mix. He’s approximately 60 pounds, neutered, up-to-date on shots, and heart worm negative.  He’s also crate and house-trained. He is currently in a foster home with two adult humans and two adult Border Collies.  Lucky is very sociable and enjoys daily walks, romps in a fenced-in-yard, squeaky toys, tummy rubs and treats. He gets along with other animals and would make a nice pet for a family with no small children. Lucky is energetic, playful and curious to see and smell everything. What he loves the most though, is getting lots of attention from people.

Adopt Zeus

Zeus is an  American Staffordshire terrier mix.  He's an extremely friendly and outgoing puppy, and there's not an ounce of shyness in this happy-go-lucky boy!  He loves lots and lots of attention!  Zeus enjoys snuggling with new friends and is very sociable with everyone he meets. This little fella loves to play, especially with chew toys. If you want to shower this little boy with lots of toys, you will absolutely have a friend for life!  He is currently learning how to walk on a leash and some basic commands.  He's small enough to sit on your lap, but we are not sure how big he will get. By the size of his paws, we don't think he will stay small for long. Zeus will do best in a loving home that is puppy-proof with a family or an individual with the patience a puppy requires. He will need some training, lots of play, walks, consistent potty-training and preferably a fenced-in yard. It would be best if someone were home during the day because puppies need frequent potty breaks to be housetrained properly.
