The Sayreville school board on Tuesday reinstated the men as teachers.

But the school board did not make a recommendation about suspended head coach George Najjar, who is a physical education teacher.

The coaches were suspended with pay Oct. 16 after seven players were accused of hazing and sexually assaulting four teammates inside the locker room. The boys will not be tried as adults.

No coaches were charged.

The school district canceled the football season.

The Home News Tribune  reports Superintendent Rick Labbe issued a statement saying the investigation continues and the board's actions are the next step in the process
