NEWTON — Authorities revived four people who had overdosed in the same North Jersey house, leading to the arrest of two for alleged drug distribution.

Three men—  ages 32, 31 and 28 — and a 47-year-old woman were all found to be unconscious, unresponsive and showing signs of heroin overdoses inside a house on Halsted Street in Newton on Tuesday at four separate times in the afternoon and evening, police said. Each time, police and paramedics used Narcan to revive each person before taking that person to a hospital.

Police said their investigation into the overdoses and witness interviews led to the arrest on Thursday of Julie E.Taylor, 42, and Robert J. Agresta, 53, on third-degree possession and distribution charges, including charges for allegedly distributing drugs in a school zone.

They were both sent to the Sussex County County Jail pending a hearing.
