The three from Middlesex County and one from New York admitted to distributing multiple kilograms.  Some were sold at college campuses including Rutgers and Monmouth University.

Kyle Jobes, 23, of East Brunswick and Charles Knierim, 24, of Old Bridge, Benjamin Caturano, 22 of New Brunswick & Conor Healion, 22, of West Hempstead, NY all face charges.

A shipment from China of Bath Salts, known as Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV), was intercepted by law enforcement and replaced by a replica drug. They delivered the package to its intended address and watched as the four suspects transferred it amongst themselves.

Immigration & Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations seized more than $90,000 in cash along with two luxury cars purchased with drug money.

Methylenedioxypyrovalerone, along with mephedrone and methylone, a synthetic chemical derivatives of the psychedelic herb khat are all referred to as Bath Salts according to WebMD.com. All three of the drugs were banned by the FDA and  share properties of stimulants, such as methamphetamine, and psychedelics (or empathogens), such as ecstasy. Users of these drugs are reported to compulsively seek repeated doses.
