Plainfield residents Jordan Camacho and Laquan Chandler each received 15-year sentences on Friday.

Union County prosecutors say the pair admitted shooting at some people who were standing in the street near the store in March 2011. But the bullets instead hit Nelson Santos Betance, a 46-year-old Plainfield resident who had just made a purchase at the store and was sitting in his car when the shots rang out.

Authorities say Camacho, who was 18 at the time, and Chandler, who was 15, are members of the G-Shine set of the Bloods street gang. Chandler was charged as an adult in the case.
