It's like the Shaneen Allen case only with an antique weapon. A 72 year old man was pulled over in a minor violation traffic stop and was asked by the officer if there was anything in the car he should know about. The man was honest and said he had a 300 year old flint lock pistol in his glove compartment. It was unloaded. But it wasn't supposed to be there under New Jersey law, which differs from federal law. New Jersey law includes such antiques in its gun laws, and the man didn't have the proper paperwork for it on top of everything else. Here's his story in this video.

Now this retired school teacher could spend ten years behind bars for this and possibly live his final days in prison. Seems silly, yet does the age of the weapon really matter? If it's a working weapon banned from being in one's glove compartment, should he get special treatment because he and the weapon are both old? You tell us.
