LAKEWOOD — A driver and the young girl she fatally stuck as she rode a bicycle out of her driveway last Thursday have been identified by police.

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronado said Chayim Goodman, 47, of Lakewood was behind the wheel of a 2007 Ford F550 pickup on Seventh Street when Hadassah Krohn, 3, rode her bicycle into Goodman's path.

A check of Goodman's cellphone with his permission — presumably to check on its use just before the crash — came back negative, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said. Results of a blood test have not yet been disclosed.

Krohn is the daugther of Rabbi Kalman Krohn, according to the Jewish news website Hamodia.

Prosecutor's Office spokesman Al Della Fave said he did not know where the girl's parents were at the time of the incident, which remains under investigation.

No charges have yet been filed.
