Three dead bodies were found inside a burned Fair Lawn home in a "domestic event" after a fire Wednesday night, authorities said.

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal confirmed that the bodies of Richard Tempe Sr., 76, and his wife Barbara, 73, and son Richard Jr., 53 were found inside the home on Fourth Street.

He said the fire in the home was intentionally set and was waiting for the medical examiner's report to determine the exact circumstances of their deaths.

“The matter is limited to a domestic event. We are not looking for other suspects," Grewal said according to the Bergen Record.

State records show that Richard Tempe Sr. took early retirement from the Fair Lawn school district in 1999.
