Four of New Jersey's legendary eateries made it onto a list of top casual restaurants compiled by the website The Daily Meal.

They included the Tick Tock Diner in Clifton, Papa's Tomato Pies in Robbinsville, White Manna in Hackensack and the White House Sub Shop in Atlantic City. We asked our listeners where they would take someone from out of town to three casual spots in our state for real Jersey food. Here are some of the trios:

  • Candlewick Diner in East Rutherford
  • Hot Dog House in Carlstadt
  • Palermo's (for pizza) in Hamilton
  • Jimmy Buff's (Italian Hot Dogs) Kenilworth
