Big Joe will be broadcasting his show live 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. We’ll be at world-renowned and Iron Chef Jose Garces’ Bar Olón & restaurant Okatshe. American writer and critic Erica Wagner was the literary editor of the London Times for seventeen years and is now a contributing writer for the New Statesman and consulting literary editor for Harper's Bazaar. Her work has appeared in the Guardian, the Economist, the Financial Times, and the New York Times, among others. She is the author of Ariel's Gift,Seizure, and the short story collection Gravity. She lives in London with her husband, the writer Francis Gilbert, and their son, Theodore. "Chief Engineer: Washington Roebling, The Man Who Built the Brooklyn Bridge," is Wagner's newest book. After John A. Roebling's sudden death, Washington Roebling built what has become one of American's most iconic structures. Yet, as recognizable as the bridge is, its builder is too often forgotten. This book is the story of immigrants, of the frontier, of the greatest crisis in American history, and of the making of the modern world. This event begins at 1pm. It is the book's U.S. launch.

Grab your buckets and shovels and head to the beach at Heather Road (alongside the Beach Pier) from 10 am - 2 pm. The festival will feature an amateur sand sculpting contest, amazing sand sculpture designs, live music and games right on the beach. Rain date is Sunday, July 10th. Registration is FREE and begins at 9 am. Prizes will be awarded to multiple divisions. The contest is organized in conjunction with Can You Dig It Sand Tools and directed by internationally known sand sculptor Matt Long.

Whaler Yeoman weekend celebrates the Cape May County founding families' livelihoods, which were tied to the land and the sea. Demonstrations and discussions regarding whaling to farming, to trades and crafts that support these early settlers, will be featured.

Wander through our Pick-Your-Own blueberry bushes; relax on a wagon ride around the farm. Pony rides, music and lots of tasty blueberry treats - blueberry muffins, blueberry cobbler, and blueberry salsa! Adults visit the tasting room for a sample of our award winning Harvest Blues wine. Everyone will enjoy Tuckers' Tales Puppet Theater, Saturday and Sunday. Children will be enthralled with the lively songs and adventures of these characters. Get in the spirit by entering your favorite recipe in the juried Blueberry Bash Bake-off, with categories for children and adults. Contest rules will be available at the farm store. New Jersey Jeep Association (NJJA) is organizing a charity ride on at 10am for, Alpha Corps Foundation (ID number 26-4091301). This ride will be escorted by the police starting at the Troop C Station in Hamilton and stop at the NJ State Troopers HQ in Williamstown. The last stop will be a popular restaurant in the Jeep community, Pic-A-Lilli Inn in Shamong. Interested Jeepers will have to pre-register online before July 3 at Noon, registration will be $35 for each registrant. Alpha Corps provides economic relief for families of fallen New Jersey State Troopers. NJJA is a NJ Jeep Club that was formed in 2007. We have had many successful charity events in the past, we are looking to make this our biggest one yet! All proceeds from registration and t-shirt sales will go to the Alpha Corps Foundation. We are hoping for a great turnout to support this great organization.

Day Out With Thomas is a family event that offers children and their grownups the opportunity to ride with classic storybook friend Thomas the Tank Engine™ . Parents, grandparents and siblings join their aspiring engineers in the fun. The Day Out With Thomas experience will engineer miles of smiles for the whole family and introduce a new generation to the timeless excitement of railroading. The train pulled by Thomas leaves every hour on the hour, 10 am to 5 pm. You may also ride the River Train along the scenic Delaware River to Pinchers Point, New Jersey ( an hour and fifteen minute round trip). For an added adventure take the River Train to the Ol' Susquehanna Mine , enjoy the animated Mine Shaft Explosion, History and learn how to pan for Gem Stones that you can take home! The trips pulled by Thomas take you along the beautiful Delaware River to North Carpentersville New Jersey, a 25 minute ride.
