The women were struck in two separate incidents, 10 minutes apart on Point Pleasant Beach, the article states. The first incident took place around 3 p.m. and involved a 62-year-old woman, and a second lightning struck occurred a few minutes later when a 54-year-old woman was struck while sitting in her vehicle, according to 6ABC.

Both women were taken to area hospitals and are expected to be fine, the report says. The Point Pleasant Beach public information officer could not immediately be reached for comment Saturday afternoon.
