2 Hurt When Train, Car Collide in South Jersey
Two people suffered minor injuries when a car collided with a light rail train on New Jersey Transit’s River Line.
The accident occurred just before 11 a.m. Wednesday near Union Landing Road in Cinnaminson. There were roughly 35 passengers and crew aboard the northbound train, which was headed for Trenton.
NJ Transit said it appears that the car’s driver tried to go around the closed gates at the train crossing.
The car’s driver was not injured, but two people aboard the train were treated for undisclosed injuries.
The accident caused a brief suspension of train service in the area.
