Middlesex County prosecutors say 24-year-old Terrence Strothers, of South Bound Brook, and 19-year-old Gennaro Toscano, of Green Brook, also face criminal mischief charges stemming from Sunday night's fire in South Brunswick.

Bail was set at $75,000 for Strothers and $50,000 for Toscano, who were both arrested Tuesday. They remained jailed Wednesday, and it wasn't known if either man had retained an attorney.

Two people who lived in the Greenview Road home were able to safely escape the flames. But the two-story home was destroyed in the blaze, which took several hours for firefighters to contain.

The investigation into the fire is ongoing.
