Brick police say the crash on Route 70, near Olden Street, occurred around 9:50 p.m. Saturday.

They say 43-year-old James Coleman of Orlando, Florida, was eastbound when he tried to make a left turn but instead collided with another eastbound vehicle driven by Susan Palumbo, a 48-year-old Toms River resident. Coleman's car then hit a concrete barrier and traffic signal stanchion before the vehicle flipped over.

Coleman suffered a head injury and was flown to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Sunday.

Palumbo was treated for abrasions and a hand injury. Her husband, who was a passenger in her car, was not hurt in the accident.
