2 captured, 1 still sought in 48 NJ car burglaries
Two men have been arrested and a third is still wanted in connection with 48 car burglaries in Central Jersey.
South Brunswick Police say 21-year-old Jermaine Robinson Jr of New Brunswick and 19-year-old Jerome Thomas of Somerset were arrested after they were able to connect evidence from one of the break-in scenes. The suspects were also spotted on surveillance video from another crime scene, police said.
Jarred Robinson, 23 of Franklin is also a suspect and remains at large. Police spotted him breaking into cars parked at the Royal Oaks apartments in South Brunswick and were unable to arrest him when he ran off, police said.
The trio is connected to robberies during the overnight the past two weeks along Route 27 in South Brunswick, Franklin and North Brunswick, police said. South Brunswick Police said one night the suspects broke into 7 vehicles in the Highgate Manor development. Robinson and Thomas are both being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center.
