ATLANTIC COUNTY


Come out and celebrate our Nations' birth! Historic Smithville has the largest Fourth of July parade in all of New Jersey. The parade will start at 9 a.m. with an expected 10,000 people to line the parade route. If you are interested in participating in the Fourth of July Parade you must pre-register, more information is given in the link below. Historic Smithville offers 60 shoppes, 7 eateries, carousel ride, train ride, paddleboats, and arcade, on site lodging at the Colonial Inn and over 26 free weekend events!

Celebrate the Stars and Stripes with a festive display of floats at the annual Downtown Hammonton Fourth of July parade. Kids are invited to patriotically decorate their bike, scooter or wagon and enter the parade.

CAMDEN COUNTY


Celebrate Independence Day with spectacular fireworks displays over the Delaware River! Joining two great cities with one beautiful waterfront, these colorful and patriotic shows will light up the sky. Join us on either side of the River for a great FREE show! CAPE MAY COUNTY


Celebrate all things American at Historic Cold Spring Village's annual Independence Day Celebration from 10 am - 4:30 pm. A variety of patriotic family activities, programs and music will be taking place and the Village's restored historic buildings will be open, featuring demonstrations of Early American trades and crafts.

ESSEX


Montclair will host its 67th annual Independence Day parade with spectacular performances and entertainment. Parade begins 11:00 a.m. along a 1.6-mile route traveling west on Bloomfield Avenue to Midland Avenue, continuing to Watchung Avenue, west to Valley Road and ending at Edgemont Park, where the annual Family Picnic will be held.

HUDSON COUNTY


The Town of Harrison is celebrating "Independence Day" and the "Harrison Town Fair" on Sunday July 2, 2017. The Fair will host exciting activities such as Music, Food, Vendor Marketplace, Games and more. Located in Hudson County in New Jersey, Harrison was once know as the Beehive of Industry because the town's southern end manufactured all sorts of products including electronics and top secret munitions for WWI and WWII. The Town of Harrison has become the subject of conversations. Those who have been residents for decades are proud of a diverse community. New residents are starting to understand what it means to be a Harrisonian.

Celebrate our nation's independence with the unparalleled 4th Annual Jersey City Freedom & Fireworks Festival at Liberty State Park! This year entertainment options have been expanded to include additional carnival rides, more live performers on stage, constant kids entertainment, and a smorgasbord of food and drink options all with a stunning backdrop of Ellis Island and the NYC skyline. Jersey City's own Kool & The Gang will headline the event taking the stage at dusk, just before one of the largest fireworks displays in the region colorfully illuminates the Statue of Liberty; visible from both sides of the Hudson River. The FREE event is open to the public from 1- 10 pm. Attendees are strongly advised to use public transportation or walk as parking will be extremely limited. HUNTERDON COUNTY


Mike Alfano will discuss his research about the genealogy and history of the Dutch and German settlers of Stanton and Pleasant Run, as well as the history of their surnames, and their land records. In addition, Alfano has found a passion in researching Hunterdon Militia in the Revolutionary War - in particular, the 4th Regiment which was comprised of Readington, Lebanon and Tewksbury. A recent discovery, from the pension papers of local soldiers, was the fact that there was a skirmish near the Readington Meeting House in Dec. of 1776. Alfano is a retired software developer and has lived in Stanton for almost 25 years. He is the State Registrar, Sons of the Revolution State Librarian, Sons of the American Revolution Board Member, Somerset County Historical Society Volunteer, Hunterdon County Historical Society Past Board Member, New Jersey Society of Mayflower Descendants Interim President, and Daniel Bray (Hunterdon) Chapter, Sons of the Revolution Vice President. 7 - 8:30 pm.

The Borough of Freehold proudly presents the annual Independence Day concert and fireworks celebration at the Freehold Raceway. Gates open at 6:30 pm and will feature live music from 7 - 9 pm immediately followed by the fireworks. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
