Traffic Makes You Dumb?

Finally! After years of suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous manners from fellow Jersey drivers, we now have scientific confirmation: driving to work through the "Jersey jam" makes you stupid!

It seems some university eggheads who took a look at what your tailpipe puts out have determined that one byproduct of all that pollution actually affects the brain and nervous system and can affect, among other things, your memory.

The scientific link between air pollution from traffic and its harmful effects on your heart and lungs is well-documented. Now, the researchers say, it also has a negative effect on your brain.
