Two of the 12 people who took ill Monday at New Jersey City University were taken to a hospital, but the rest were treated at the scene. None of the injuries were considered serious.

School officials tell The Jersey Journal that a contractor is removing the air conditioning unit from the Education and Professional Studies building and had drained the coolant last night. But some coolant apparently leaked and made its way through the duct work.

Officials say the coolant isn't poisonous.

People started getting ill around 9:30 a.m., and the building was soon evacuated. No classes are taught at the building, which should reopen Monday.
