HOWELL — One person was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Howell Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.

The crash took place on Route 33 between Fairfield and Yellowbrook roads, and prompted Howell police to shut down the roadway, according to a Facebook post.

According to NJ Advance Media, one person was killed in the crash, which happened just before 5 p.m. Police did not have any additional information on the cause of the accident or the victim, the article states.

The crash marks the second fatal collision in the township since Friday, when a 19-year-old was ejected from his motorcycle in the area of County Road 537. Randall Arvai of Manalapan was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Lexus that was turning out of a restaurant parking lot.
