PATERSON (AP) — It took firefighters more than two hours to get the upper hand on a blaze in a liquor store and apartment building in Paterson.

The apartments were above the liquor store in the 2½-story structure on Rosa Parks Boulevard. The fire was reported around 5:15 a.m. Friday.

Deputy Fire Chief Michael Fleming tells The Record (http://bit.ly/1rHdsWd ) newspaper one woman was injured and as many as nine residents were displaced by the blaze.

The cause has not been determined.
