1 dead in Turnpike crash in Cranbury, scene still active

Motorists are still facing detours hours after a fiery tractor-trailer crash killed one person on the New Jersey Turnpike.

The crash, involving three tractor-trailers, happened Tuesday night in the northbound outer roadway just north of Interchange 8 in Cranbury Township.

The northbound truck lanes between Interchanges 6 and 8 remain closed while the investigation continue and repairs are made to the road.. The northbound car lanes remain open, but drivers face delays.

State police have not released the name of the victim.
