1 dead, 1 wounded in Newark shooting

NEWARK (AP) — One man died and another was wounded in a shooting in Newark.

The shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. Sunday near Huntington Terrace and Lehigh Avenue.

Police found 20-year-old Brent Williams of East Orange unresponsive in a car. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Another 20-year-old sustained a gunshot wound that authorities say was not life-threatening. His name has not been released.

No suspect has been identified.
