The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office says  48-year-old Thomas Gillespie shot his 47-year-old girlfriend in the head before turning the gun on himself in their Logan Township home Wednesday.

Police responding to a report of a domestic dispute found the man dead and the woman wounded in the family room. The prosecutor’s office says the woman is in critical but stable condition at a hospital.

The woman’s 10-year-old and 13-year-old daughters from a previous marriage were upstairs unharmed. They are now with their father.
